Birds

Hi all! Gunvor here.

After a lot of Christmas- and winter cards I'm now going with birds.

For my first card I used the sweet sweet Flit (you'll find the image here in the SNB shop):

On the second card I used an image with one of my favourite birds - the owl. This image is called "Heart Leaf Tree Owl" and you find it . On the card, the owl moves as you pull the rag behind the patterned paper on the card front.

If you want to read more about the cards you're welcome to visit my personal blog.

Now, you all have a real nice New Years Eve and a Happy New Year!

Winter cards

Hi all! Gunvor here.

I have used a couple of Alison's lovely images for winter cards.

For the first card I used I used Follow the star - a lovely image you'll find here. I printed it out twice and cut the snowman out and mounted with glue dots. To finnish it off I went almost crazy with the "bling" on the backgound and decos.

For the second card "A friend in me girl" - a really cute image with a girl and her penguin. - You'll find it here in the shop. Be sure to pick her up!
I used Pearl Maker to make the snow flakes in the back ground stand out, and then decorades the snow flake diecut with some "bling".

Thanks for looking!

Kitten calling

I usually find a gift box pattern to share with you at Chrismas - running a bit late because I am still full of the stinking cold. This one is a bit different.

http://www.princesskitten.co.uk/design_55792.html

I used this Zen from Stretch n Bubbles - you could dress it up Christmasie - I wanted to keep it gothic to match the paper

have a good Christmas every one

Kitten calling

I wanted to do something really different with this ghost from Stretch n Bubbles
He's such a cutie it would be nice to use him more and I wanted to experiment with a bit of vellum.

I printed the image onto cream card - put some patterned vellum over it and drew round with a pencil to get the shape (some printer will print directly on velum but mine won't).  Then I cut out the shape and stuck it on top of the ghost.  I drew over the top with a black permanent marker and coloured the spots with silver gel.

You can't see the effect in the scan - but it is really pretty.  The pattern on the vellum shows slightly over the ghost, and it's mat finish really contrasts with the bright silver gel.

Kitten calling

Don't know about you - but our kids are home for the Christmas holidays now. Are they board yet?

Quick tip - you know you can make digis bigger? - make them up to A5 size and print 2 on a sheet of paper and cut in half for a quick colouring project for them.

There is no deterioration in the lines on these images, even though I made them so big.

Stretch n Bubbles have loads of monsters for boys and fairys for girls as well as all sorts of animals

New Dollar DIGI

Card Created by SNB DT MARCY

Hey everyone!! We have a new Dollar Digi.. This image will be avaliable for 1 week HERE in the SNB Shop.. so get it while you can!

Kitten calling

Don't know about you - but I am just a little bit sick of Christmas cards now, thought I would make a winter birthday card.

I used this cute little deer from Stretch n Bubbles with loads of icy blue and silver.  The background paper is a scrapbooking Christmas one - but it is just blue and snowie.  Gems, brads amd liquid pearls bulk out the die cut starts

TIP - I cut the snowflakes using mirror card on the Cuttlebug - then ran them through with the snowflake embossing folder before I pushed them out from the sheet.

Kitten calling

This darling little space rocket is available from Stretch n Bubbles.

In my on going quest to make more men's cards - I have been seeking out the more male looking options

The finished card is quite simple really - but if you add a bit of 'stitching' round all the edges it really add loads of texture.

I also added stars and nailheads

Sorry, I Suck

Today's sample was made with Stretch N' Bubbles; Sorry I Suck digital stamp. When I saw this image and saying I just thought to myself, yes there are times I feel this way. I embossed the solid brown cardstock and then lightly sanded so the white core of the paper would show through.

Purchase the digital image in the store here.

Kitten calling

This darling little scotty dog, available form Alison -HERE - is just perfect for the weather here in the UK at the moment

I made him to put into theCopic challenge blog so I really worked hard on my colouring.

My light source is above his nose.  I wanted to keep it gray and frosty looking, the background paper is a gray frost pattern, the pale green mat is a sugar-coated card stock, and there is mirri silver card, and glamour dust on his fluffy fur.

I hope you like him
