Kitten calling

As it is Royal Wedding Day (did you see her dress - sooo pretty) - I thought I had better make a wedding card.

This dress image from Stretch N Bubbles is great - but I wanted to play a bit more than just colour it.

I do tend to use my images in all sorts of ways - I stencil - and use as templates - cut them up all ways. I do sometimes wonder if the designer actually mind me changing everything!

Anyway - I used this one to trace the shape onto patterned vallum - then as a templace to cut out the inder dress and dummy shape.

Went a bit over board with all the bling
have a lovely weekend

Upside Down or Right Side Up?

Here is a fun creation for you, using an image and matching sentiment.....The image set is called Right Side Up, and is available here at the SNB Shop ....
I repeated and rotated (flipped) the image. I've used markers and a waterpen to colour the image, with markers for finer points, and stardust glitter pens for a bit of sparkle! You are welcome to visit my blog to see this card, and all my SNB creations! Thanks for peepin'!

Kitten calling

I had a note book printed for the business with my name on it - quite nice - but not very pretty so I 'kittened' it up.

I used this fairy (in the SHOP HERE) because I thought it would match the grass pattern on the book..

I coloured it with Copics - the wings are painted with iridescent H2Os - punched the corners and threaded a ribbon up the wire spine

Much better don't you think?

Kitten calling

It's a Stretch N Bubbles day in the office today and this little chappie in the SHOP HERE, is exactly what the weather is like today!

And I had some wonderful summer pattern scrapbook paper squirreled away - and the rest just fell into place

There are loads of oval shapes piled up - some are raised - and the swirls are some new die cuts that I bought and will not star in just about everything!

In the mood for summer now!

Kitten Calling

It's scary - but my son has just about finished school - for ever!!!

So we are pretty near to the end of term and when I saw this apple in the SHOP HERE - perfect for a leaving card

The background is a scrapbook paper that I have had fot just ages..  The apple is coloured with Copics - and then glossed with 3d glaze which makes it look lovely and shiney.

May have to make a couple more for the stall

Kitten calling

It has been so glorious today - sun shine and clear skies - bring it on.

So in that theme - these hot sunflowers - could not resist - I just know it would layer up beautifly - in the shop HERE

I don't often scribe on patterned paper - it has to have the right sort of surface otherwise the ink feathers throung the paper and looks dreadful - but it is something I really must explore more.

I tried a some text on a piece of this scrapbook paper and it looked fine - so I looked up these words and scribed it up.

Really pleased with the way it has turned out and will experiment more

- so the moral of the story - try using pattern paper for your sentiments

Kitten calling

I just love this pussy cat - it is so much fun.  In the shop HERE

I wanted to create something that was fun and active - but a bit more restrained than bright colours and bling.

I worked the oposite way round to normal - I coloured the cat first in grays - no blending - and then found some papers to match
 - and a few extra bits and bobs

I have not thought of a greeting yet - can't decide. Dead chuffed with the card though

Kitten Calling

Something a bit different for you today - would make a super Mother's Day or Easter card for someone special

This darling little kitten - always loved this one - is just such fun and you could use it for just about any celebration

in the SHOP HERE

For this project I used 1 x pattern card. 1 x matting colour (this is one of the perlised Bazzil - just gorgeous), 1 x pattern paper.  I really wanted to make all the bits the same - before I started experimenting with both paper sides and bringing in other colours.

anyway - a card

With an interesting middle
- first you open it

Then you find the pocket
- and the tag

How cool is that!

I have added a blank piece so you can add a greeting, and I have to thank Kiki for the basic pattern (check out her blog)

when you use her design - one tiny tip - if you use a patterned card stock remember the template will have a right way to cut it out to get the pattern on top
