So I thought I should post one last card before the SNB shop shuts it's doors for the last time. I'm going to miss SNB. I was lucky enough to start on the Design Team with the first DT Call... in fact it was my first DT! So it's pretty special to me. I've gotten to work with some fabulously creative ladies, and enjoyed the talents that Alison has shared with us. So, I share with you today the Owl Tree image, in a 'farewell' creation....

I've kept the card clean, on a white background, but been generous with the colours... after all, it's a very exciting adventure that Alison is now taking... The Alley Way Stamps! I coloured with markers and glitter pens. I decorated the tree with heart shaped rhinestones... I love the way the rhinestones add dimension to the tree, and that their shape contrasts with the circle leaves! So Alison, thank you so much for the opportunity to work with you, your designs, and the many creative chicks that have passed through the SNB Doors... it was awesome fun! And wish you good luck and good times with The Alley Way Stamps!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you all know this is the last DAY to get this digi bundle special.. after the 12:01 AM Mountain time you will no longer be able to buy any digital stamps from stretch n bubbles.. but the blog will still be up with all the old posts and inspiration. So if you get the bundle you can go there and see the creations that the DT girls made using the same digis.. :) hugs

I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone of my DT girls... They truly helped make Stretch N Bubbles the place it was. Also thank you to everyone who supported my dream. I am now onto the reason why this store is closing. This blog however will stay up for anyone to come get inspiration from.

My new adventure you ask?

We are so excited to bring to you a new line of stamps that are fun, whimsy, and a little corky :) We hope you fall in love with The Alley Way Stamps, and bring them out to play often. We will be having a grand opening here in just a few days, so spread the word, let everyone know that there is a new stamp company in town!

This is a really sad post for me - this is the very last post for Stretch N Bubbles as we know it.

Not for a bad reason - Alison is moving forward with the business and a company has bought out the rights to her images to make as stamps and stencils - how cool is that. But it means that the digital side has to close. I have been with Alison for so long now I am going to really miss it all - but I do have grand plans of my own for next year.

So say cheerio, and thank you for following me, I have a freebie for you. Darling little Pounce

And a card made with him - the background was embossed with the folder inked - then inked again to pick out the raised areas. Pounce is shaped and raised with silicone glue - and the tiny decals are actually fimo slices for nails

I have loved mu time with Stretch N Bubbles - and I hope you have enjoyed seeing what the digis can be made into

- and I will tell you my own grand plans for the next year in about 2 weeks

I hope everyone's celebrations have been wonderful and filled with joy. Enjoy a few quieter days before the New Year's celebrations! So, far from the maddening crowds of Post Christmas Sales, I share with you a clean and simple creation, using the Flower Friend image...

I have coloured with glitter pens, and glaze pens on the wee ladybug. After matting the image, I wrapped organza ribbon and pearls to dress the white space (I was going to add a scrolled Silver "Thank You" sentiment, but it was too large). Unfortunately, our clouded summer sun is throwing an orange hue over our town, so the card isn't showing as white as it should be! I'd love for you to visit my personal blog to see a little more of this card, and my other SNB creations....

Time for Tea

It is definitely time for a cup of tea (or coffee)... I'm posting late this week, because our town had flash flood rains on Sunday.... we had the rain filling our kitchen! Thankfully we had only a clean up job, with no real damage...

I share today one of my favourite images.... Flourish Teapot...

In needing a bit of a 'cheer up', I chose to create in bold bright colours... and pink with purple offers quite the bold contrast! I have coloured with Glaze and Glitter pens, while leaving most of the image stark white. The card has been created with layers of decorative papers on a white cardbase... and the striped paper is flocked... it's so lovely to touch! Herbert Goes Christmas!

In a festive mood this week - well, wrapping gifts.... what better way than in a personalised box! Th adorning SNB image I used is Herbert Gnome... not a traditional Christmas image, but he sure looks festive in red and green!

For a small gift, I created a pillow box - I actually had an old pillow box that I had kept flat as a template. I had an old gift bag, that was quite sturdy gloss embossed paper, so I repurposed it by using one side of it with the template.... to create the pillow gift box!

I printed and coloured Herbert in red and green glitter pens, adding marker for his face. I wrapped a white organza ribbon around the giftbox, and tied a bow. I then topped it with a red organza poinsettia flower.

How are those last minute Christmas cards going? Just in case you are still a few short, here's a fun little guy to brighten up a set of quickie makes.......

I used HOTP papers and added a matching tag with a pretty snowflake, and some starry red ribbon........

A little faux stitchin', coloured up with Promarkers, added a shiny gem to his ickle warm heart, and he's all ready to go and sit on somebody's Christmas mantel....haaaa!

Sadly, this is my last post for Stretch 'n Bubbles.....as you will know by now, Alison is closing the store.........but I've had sooooo much fun working on the Design Team, and appreciate every lovely comment that you have left here......thank you all so much!

Three Stockings

How bright and fun is this? I used a red card base and stitched around the edge, then roughly deckle-cut 4 scraps of paper, inked the edges and................

layered up the fabby image, which I'd run through a Cuttlebug embossing folder....easy-peasy quick card for your last minutes makes....haaaa!

Messing about again!!

Lovely gingerbread man - as an ornament!

Very simple - make the image the size you want and cut round the shape - use it as a pattern to cut out 2 pieces of brown felt.

The wavy line is a ric-rac braid - the eyes are brads - the cheeks and mouth are stitched - and the buttones are - well - buttons!
Do all the decorating on one of your felt pieces and stitch the other on the back to cover up all your workings

I stitched the 2 pieces together with a gold thread using blanket stitch - done the bottom half - just the top to do.

Here is a wonderful image, just perfect for the yuletide season... THE STOCKINGS WERE HUNG ... available in the SNB shop until the end of the month.... I hope you all take advantage of the super special SNB has at the moment!

Since I loved the rustic feel of this image, I took to it with a need and thread.... stitched the whole image! I love the way we can use any colour for Christmas these days. This stocking image is perfect to play about and experiment with different colour combos

I went for a modern look - and experimented with the new colour shading technique. There are 3 chipboard tags on a silver ribbon and the greeting is part of the patterned paper underneath

First an apology for being a bit of turkey (yes, seasonal pun intended). I've no idea why the image from my last post (Zeke the Turkey) disappeared... but it's fixed, and visible now!

I had a ball creating this card using the Give Thanks image, which is in store now! This is not your average turkey.... not in my peacock colours at least!

The image is coloured completely in Stardust glitter pens, so he really shimmers and sparkles! He is layered onto a sandpapered textured card, and fixed to a metallic olive green cardbase. I left the background white, to make the turkey really bold in his colours! You can find this creation at my personal blog, and you're all invited to visit (there are many SNB creations there)!

Well, today I'm pointing you in the direction of a digi stamp that will help you along with those projects....

Cute, eh?.......and here's what I did with it.......

The backing paper is from Docrafts, and I embossed a piece of thick white parchment with a Swiss dots folder, then placed the cute image onto a very sparkly piece of red card, cut out with a Nestie......ribbon, diecut snowflakes, and a sweet diecut penguin complete the card.....

I used Promarkers to colour up.......sweeeet!

We are into the fever of Christmas properly now, and I just love this modern tree image - sucker for trees anyway.

as it is such a modern image you can really go for a colourful look too.

I printed 2 image - but I have the second one a little bit smaller than the base - so that when I cut out and layered up the trees I would get a shadow effect. The base layer is coloured plainly with Copics and the top layer is coloured with sparkly gel pens and pearl drops. I cut round the image - matted it - and raised it on the card. Then made of of my fave shaggy bows with a bell - super cool

Gobble Gobble!

I had so much fun creating this napkin holder using the Zeke the Turkey image! He's in store now, and ready to help with your Thanksgiving decorations and greetings!

I printed and trimmed several images of Zeke, then coloured with markers and water pen, and Stardust glitter pens. The multiple layers are all edged in blac, and fixed together, a la paper tole. I finally added rhinestones, and googly eyes to complete the image. I simply added a ring of cardstock at the back, and voila! I love these garden gnomes - they look such happy chappies - not a huge fan of those over the top garden ones though!

So I used much more muted colouring (copics) - and matched them up with a delicate pattern paper and a bit of old gold pearl matting.

I love the way the tummies have come out - they really do look round

Here's a wonderful rustic image perfect for the autumnal season of thanks giving! This Apple Basket...

Apple basket is coloured with markers and water pen, as well as metallic and glitter pens. I fussy cut the image, and it is fixed on top of co-ordinating layers of patterned paper, that have been edged in green ink. All on a crisp white cardbase. Thanks Squared

Hi, Grandma Bonnie sharing with you... I've been inspired by this image and a blog post with a Thanksgiving centerpiece that my friend, Jenee, shared with me. The image i used is called "Thanks Squared" and can be found here.

What i did:
I printed the image 3 times once using white cardstock, metallic brown cardstock and metallic red cardstock. I cut out the image and decided not to use the "thanks". I stamped the white cardstock turkey image using a "letter writing" stamp. Then i colored in the beak, and striped feathers. I added a dotted colored background. Next i paper pieced the turkey and feathers.

Using my cricut i cut out various leaves and an acorn and a lattice band. I took out my battery operated candle and a glass plate i had purchased at a charity shop to use for a craft. I decorated the lattice band with the turkey and leaves. Then i flipped the plate upside down because the base was the perfect size for my candle. I added the leaves and acorns on the plate. No worries about the candle catching the paper on fire using the battery operated one.

Hi Grandma Bonnie...
I am filling in for one of our DT members and have chosen to use "Aid You" for a reason. Our lovely designer/artist, Alison, isn't feeling well and i wanted to make this in honor of her.

Isn't this the cutest image ever???

This is what i did:

I purchased a soup bowl and filled it with a Chicken Soup packet, tissues and crackers. I make a band to go around the bowl with the band aid image and a get well tag.

I love the simplicity of this Christmas bauble - perfect for all sorts of colouring techniques.

This is a card from the range I make for the pencil museun using Inktense pencils. Inkyense is like a colouring pencil but the centre is made from acrylic ink and it water soluble. You can use all sorts of watercolour techniques with it - as well as all sorts of direct colouring.

Here's a fab image I've been waiting to use (since we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in November, here in Australia)... from the many Squared images here at SNB... this is Thanks Squared...

Thanks Squared is coloured with markers and water pen, and also glitter pens. I fussy cut the image, and then gave it mat layers of black and brown, and finished it on a brown cardbase. I couldn't help but complete him with goggly eyes.... you can find this creation at my personal blog, and you're all invited to visit (there are many SNB creations there)!

I was really tempted to make this into a Christmas card.....I am sooooo far behind with all things Christmas!......but actually made it into a New Home greeting for my son and his wife, and baby........they just moved from England to Ireland.......I miss 'em....sigh........

It had to be bright and cheery, so I chose Nitwits papers, and coloured up with Promarkers........

I printed the image twice, and did a little decoupage on the roof.....easy-peasy......

I hope you love this cute house as much as I do....it's just like the little drawings we all did as children, don'tcha think?.....haaaaaa!

Well - it's the cough and sneezes season. I have had this little nurse image for a while now - waiting for the right project

Then I had a brilliant idea

A 'get well pack' - tissues and a lip salve stick - just to cheer someone up - make anyone giggle this would

The cover has our little nurse - with the left over scraps of a 'bugs' paper!

And the inside with the 'kit' - except I haven't been shopping yet to get the lip salve - but the tape is there ;-)

Please for give the dreadful scan - it's hard to get a proper scan this thick.

Project next year - set up a proper photo place!!!

Spotty Bird

Hi there... here's a cheery bird for you... this image is called Spot It... you'll find him roosting with the other birds at the SNB Shop....

I was taken with this digital background, and loved the contrast of it against the funky style of the bird image. I wanted lots of colour, on the black and white background, so I went crazy! I've coloured with Bic Markers, Stardust Pens, and Glaze Pens. I had to use goggly eyes on him. The Bright colours continue with yellow and orange layers, finally resting on a blue cardbase! It's Halloween on Monday so what better time to share a Halloween card? I've used Libby which you can find here in the SnB store. Heeeeeeeeeere's Libby!

I've paper pieced her dress to give her a kind of "hip" witch look for the modern age and coloured the rest of the stamp with Promarkers and chalks.

Here's a sweet lass from the Su-She collection here at SNB... this is Lee.....

Lee is coloured with markers and water pen, and also glitter and metallic pens. Using foam tape she sits atop basic layers of black card and a floral pattern, which reminded me of stylised peonies. I imagine she has smiled so hard her mouth has disappeared!

Hi there, and welcome!

It's a bright and sunny day here, in England, but there is a very definite nip in the air....bring it on!

I just love the colder weather, and more and more, I'm enjoying all the crafty cosiness that goes with Autumn.....and having the chance to play with images that "go" with the season is great for me.....so today I'm bringin' you a particular favourite of mine.........

Gwen's Umbrella

Isn't that sweet?.......Don't know if it's actually supposed to be sweet....maybe it should be scary, eh?....but I think it's too sweet to be scary....haaaaa!

I made the cute image into a hang-up....just a little Echo Park Apothecary Emporium paper, some purple pearlised paper that was cut out with a Nestie, and some black lace, purple ribbon, and a piece of chipboard for the sentiment....done!

But....if ya know me a little by now, I love to bling it up with a little ol' sparkle, here and there, so out came the Mod Podge, sparkle variety....and a few little shiny plastic discs to add even more shine and sparkle....

Can yoiu see the ickle incy-wincy spider? Decided she's a girlie, so did her in PINK....haaaahaaaa!

Hello, and welcome!

Must be Wednesday, because it's me, Anne-Marie and this week I want to share this cute image from Stretch 'n' Bubbles

All ready and willin' to help you get those Thanksgiving creations out to all your family and friends!

Here's what I came up with.....simple and sweet.........

I used a cream card base, brown background card that was embossed with a diamond Fiskars board, and a piece of Nitwits patchwork paper........used some "straw" behind the pumpkin button, and finished with a cute heart button, and some button leaves...........that's ribbon webbing, coloured to match, and popped onto brown grosgrain ribbon......

And here's the little guy, all decked out in his finery.....haaaaaa!

Stretch N Bubbles - SHOP

This is a classic 3 image statement card that every card maker should have in their layout notebook.
You can have 3 images the same - or 3 different. Each one is matted and raised over a patterned background - this is a scrapbook paper that I thought matched the image perfectly.

I used flower Love - which is a new image from Alison.

I re-sized it so I could fit 3 large images onto a DL card and coloured them all a bit differently with Copics.

Can you see that the outside of the petals is a bit paler? If you use your Copic to colour solidly for the first layer - then go back and just recolour the center - you get this tonal effect. Useful if you just want a bit of shading with out getting other colours involved

Franken Square

Here's a piece of Halloween Spirit for you, using the fun Franken Square image....

I was really surprised at how colourful this card looks, although I've really done minimal colouring! I've only coloured the square with Frankie in it - all the other colour is brought to life with the coloured layers. I used markers and a water brush for the colouring, except for his hair which is black glitter pen. Sorry for the pun, but the ribbon really pulled it together! Hello peeps, Lisa here and I have made a Christmas card this week. I've used the flower ornament digi stamp which you can find here in the store.

Here's my card

This is actually a really simple card but with a few eye catching embellishments to set it off, and of course, the fabulous stamp! I coloured the stamp with Promarkers and Prismas and sprinkled crystal glamour dust over the centre because you can't have a Christmas card without glitter! I'm sure there's a law against it somewhere :)

I really must get all my gift bag/box patterns sorted out so they are easy to find - rather than a tatty heap of scrawled notes shoved in a box!

Flourish Teapot

Here's an image I've admired for ages, and never created with ... but I have now! This image is Flourish Teapot, and is available in the SNB Shop right now...

I created a giftbox (or a cake box for a very big piece of cake!). I've printed and coloured the teapot image with Marvy Le Plume markers, and glaze pens. I used a rather large pink rhinestone for the knob on the teapot lid! I created layers using wide vintage lace, that I have sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist. I've also added Ice Stickles, and pearls to dress the corners around the image. You can see the side and top of the box as well.... I've used a set of rub-ons on the handle and the box top, and repeated one of the floral images on the other three sides of the box. Hi everyone! It's Saturday so that means it's my turn to show you my Stretch 'n' Bubbles inspiration project.

This week I have used the squared santa image. The thing I love most about digi stamps, is how versatile they are. You can resize them with ease and I have made a card and tag using the same image, printed off in different sizes.

I thought it was a great idea to have this cutie already popped into a "polaroid"....made makin' the card easy-peasy.....and ya just know I like easy-peasy....haaa!

I chose to use Autumn colours, but this sweet image could be used for sooooo many occasions.........

Here's a fabulous image for Autumn creations..... This image is named Pumpkin Squared, and is available in the SNB Shop right now...

I have created the card with some simple layers, of textured and metallic cardstock, and some faux stitching around the outer. The image has been stitched over - I printed the image in a light coloured ink, and simply embroidered over it, using stem and running stitches. I coloured the image with decorating chalks! OK - this is a Thanks giving / Christmas image - but I have other ideas.

I have done way to much 'minimal' stuff - and I am itching to go over the top again - pining for my bright colours and bling

And this is a great way to use up scraps. I went through my odds box and sorted out all sorts of matching scraps - cut then into rectangles and fan out over your base card - any old how - the more muddled the better

Hi ... Pauline here, with another creation from the most recent release! This image is named Flower Love, and is in the SNB shop waiting for you!

I've created a CAS card this week, relative simple, but bold in colour for impact! There is almost no colouring in this card - in my graphics program, I turned the image into a negative, and printed it. I coloured the heart on the flower with red Stardust pen, and the a few layers of red glaze pen. It has white and black matts and is on a red cardbase. A border of tiny rhinestones was added last, to really make it pop with bling.

Our Anna is battling computer problems at the moment, so she can't share her creation with us... waaaah! So instead, I thought it might be nice to relive a previous creation.... at random, the post that came up is shared below... it's one of Marcy's creations from October 2010...

Ahoy me hearties!

This is Cute Pirate...and she is cute! Don't ya think?? You can find her here in the SNB store.
I made this an easel card so she can really stand up. I colored her with copics and added Gelly Roll Clear Stardust glitter onto her sword handle. I put a nice thick layer of Diamond Glaze to shine up her boots. I just love the netting that I had left over from a Luau party I had years ago. I knew one day I would need it again! LOL. A few rhinestones and done!!

OK - I NEVER 'do' Christmas stuff this early - but I have got this phrase stuck in my head and I keep using it (sorry)

This amazing Santa is in the SHOP HERE

- you will notice that he is quite round and dumpy in the original image.

- bring on the magic of digi

- we have quite an ongoing fashion in the UK for long, tall, skinny Santa/angel/snowman that I think looks quite cool so I wanted a long tall image - I pulled it taller in Word!

- Just how magic is that? You can't only alter the size of a digi - but you can pull it out thinner or wider to suit what you want to do with it.

This hanger is about the size of a DL card - so it will fit in the same size envelope to post. I worked out the shape on a scrap of paper folded double so the arch was equal. The centre is white card inked with green and red - then embossed with the 'snow' folder sideways so that I could leave a blank space for the writing (neat trick) - and the santa is cut out and raised a bit so you get more shaddows. I coloured his coat - but all the white bits are white sparkly glitter - it looks fab

I think you are stuck with this phrase cos I keep thinking it!

Here is another fun bird image, from SNB (I just love Alison's bird images!) .... this little fella (or lady) is in the newly released images, and is called Cluck Cluck...

This image reminded me of a fabric patchwork chicken, with all it's spots....so I kept it's colouring bold and to minimum of 3 - red, yellow and orange (Stardust glitter pens of course). Multiple layers created depth and faux stitching to detract from the white and pink/red of the cardstock. I love the spots so much I carried it on through the cardstock, and two layers of organza/velvet ribbon!

Ghost- Happy Sparkly

Hi again, it's me Grandma Bonnie and i've been in the mood for Halloween cards. This card is super fun and i believe one that you could do with your kids. The ghosts are super easy to color and cut out.

What you will need is:
Ghost image found here.
Purple card base (mine is cut 6.25 x 9- then folded in half to make a 4.5 x 6.25 card)
White, green and gray solid cardstock scraps
Orange and black patterned cardstock scraps
Buttons to match your card
Black nylon net/tulle or ribbon
Glitter glue/stickles to paint the ghosts (I used Extreme Glitter paint)

We don't really celebrate Halloween here, in the UK, although over the past few years, it's been evident that more British people are getting into the dressing up, and decorating, and I'm even hoping that more people will start to send Halloween cards....so this is my attempt at doing my bit to hurry things along....ha!
I was thrilled to find this fun digi in the Stretch 'n' Bubbles store............

And this is the result of a very happy play-time for me...lol!

This is a new box design that I am working on. I wanted an image that would stand out and add a bit of impact.

I used this flower image - coloured with copics and filled the flower centre with tiny silver balls.

Here is my box - I am still tinkering with the template because I want to get it smaller so I can cut it out of an A4 sheet of card instead of a 12"

I thought I'd try a little gothic style this week, and chose the colours red and black. I coloured in stardust glitter pens, and a water pen (although the dress looks grey, it's black stardust, watered down!) I went the whole package of embellishments, using rhinestones, lace, ribbon, and a button! Full details of my creation can be found at my personal blog...

Hi everyone, It's Lisa here again this rainy Saturday to share a thank you card I have made with the Pumpkin stamp, which you can find in the store here

I've made this card to the standard U.S card size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) as opposed to the standard UK size because cards seem to look a bit more proportioned at the U.S size for some reason. I've coloured the pumpkins (or punkins as I used to say when I was little) with Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils.

It's me, Anne-Marie, and today I'd love to show you what I did with this little cutie.......she's called Windy Day and you can find her in the SNB store by clicking on her name.............

I love everything to do with Autumn, and couldn't help myself from using autumnal colours to colour up this sweetie.........

I don't normally "do" purple, as anyone who frequents my blog will tell ya....ha!.....but it seemed perfect for this project........

The papers are from K&Co, and the background to the image is Bazzil cardstock, and was cut with a Nestie........I coloured up with Promarkers, and added the cute ickle windmill....and there ya go!
